Red Whiskered Bulbul

RED WHISKERED BULBUL.

It was on an May evening where i was just enjoying the sunset on my balcony and all of a sudden i heard the chirping of birds, to put an end to my curiosity i started searching for those birds and surprisingly i found a pair of cute little birds nesting on the thatched walls of the stairs. It was so amazing to see the nest which was cup shaped woven of fine twigs and grasses and it had 2 eggs in it. Later i came to know that the bird was Red whiskered bulbul which is a passerine bird found in most parts of Asia. Since from my childhood i am so passionate about bird watching and wild life photography. So i tried my best to capture the mesmerizing moments of the nature with my new Nikon camera. In today's hectic life style people really don't have time to enjoy the tiny packages of happiness which nature has to offer. Mankind has so much to learn from the nature around us but we often go in search of it some where else and forget that its not far away from us...we can really find it all around us if we have the eyes to see and recognize it.

Put on so much weight from all those berries.

Clever-- Why should Clara have all the fun...?

I'm ready to continue the journey of this so called 'Life'

Those cute Red whiskered bulbul were like my pets for almost an month and i named them as Clara and Clever. Clara use to spent most of her time incubating eggs where in Clever use to go in search of foods. Eggs take around 12 days to hatch so i was eagerly waiting for that moment and at the same time i didn't want to disturb the birds too by watching it every now and then. Because if the birds are scared they will move away leaving the eggs behind and without the incubation the eggs will not hatch. So i was quite for an week and later i felt very happy to see an egg hatched and a small chick inside the nest. That was the first time in my life where i saw such a small chick which was just hatched. I was even more happier to see Clara and Clever celebrating their parenthood with their first new born chick. They were bringing small insects and berries to feed the chick. Within a couple of days that chick came out of the nest and became ready to face the world. Till that Clara tried her best by incubating her second egg but it didn't hatch and the new born chick was ready to fly, so Clara and Clever went to introduce the brand new world to its new born chick and to teach the lessons of life n' survival.
